CHA NGA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

KY son – NGHE AN – VIETNAM

“Education is the foundation upon which we build our future”

With half a decade of experience in building schools in remote and mountainous regions, LSF has become intimately acquainted with the rugged terrains and the challenges they present. In these beautiful yet unforgiving landscapes, unrelenting rainstorms, typhoons, and mudslides frequently visit. Unfortunately, Cha Nga Elementary School fell victim to severe damage during a recent rainstorm. This school is located in one of the farthest parts of Nghe An province, bordering Laos. The school was built in 1999, and 89% of the population here live below poverty level. In this part of the remote village, villagers still do not have access to electricity.
The new school is estimated to cost $15,858. The cost covers four classrooms, restrooms, a concrete surface playground area, and new classroom furniture. The Lotus School Foundation is committed to rebuilding this school as soon as possible, ensuring that the children will have access to safer and more secure classrooms in the upcoming school year.

The new school is expected to complete by the end of September 2023.
