OLD SCHOOL
With the rainy season finally winding down, LSF is set to break ground on our 29th project with the rebuilding of Suoi Cheo School located in Phu Yen, Son La – Vietnam to benefit close to 100 students. Suoi Cheo School was built in 1999 and has severely deteriorated over the years. During the rainy season, the old school collapsed and the children have been learning in the village’s culture house since last year. However, the conditions for the culture house are also dilapidated, evidenced by our site inspection last month.
The school building is estimated to cost $13,742. The cost covers three classrooms, 2 restrooms, a 100m2 concrete surface playground area, school main entrance signage, and new classroom furniture.
The new school is expected to complete by October 2022.

GRAND OPENING
LSF continues our mission on this trip with the celebration of Suoi Cheo School’s grandopening. 
Suoi Cheo is located in the mountainous area of Phu Yen district, Son La Province – Vietnam. This school has close to 90 preschoolers and we are beyond happy to see these little ones settling into the new well-constructed and warm classrooms during the cold winter season.
