Pa Xoan 2 Elementary School is located in Dien Bien province, near the border of Laos. Due to its challenging geographical location, the focus in this region is on agricultural. However, due to the harsh climate and prolonging winters, the economy is very challenging. The village heavily relies on state budget resources. The level of education among the population is low and with over 80% of the population living in poverty, the need for a new school has become an urgent cry for change.

Lotus School Foundation is thrilled to celebrate the Grand Opening of Pa Xoan 2 Elementary School. After an arduous 11-hour drive to the city of Dien Bien, our team embarked on another hour-long boat ride through the mountains to reach our school. Our hearts swelled with joy as we caught sight of the eager children and villagers eagerly anticipating our arrival. Their warm welcome filled us with a profound sense of happiness and fulfillment. The newly constructed school features four classrooms, restrooms, complete with new classroom furniture, all within a total budget of $16,485.
