Building a Brighter Tomorrow, One Student at a Time!

This school is situated in the furthest part of Nghe An, which requires taking a boat to the village. This area is extremely difficult, ranking as the most challenging in the largest district in the country as 86% of households live below poverty level. The school serves 118 students, all of whom come from impoverished backgrounds and belong to the ethnic groups of Thai and Khu Mo. In addition, the harsh winter conditions of Nghe An with its cold temperatures and strong winds have taken a toll on the existing school building, which is in a state of severe deterioration.
The cost of the new school is estimated at $26,985, which includes five classrooms, restrooms, concrete playground, and new classroom furniture. The parents and villagers will help clear the land.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Hang Tran for her generous donation of $15,000 to help rebuild this new school. As a member of LSF’s Board of Directors since our establishment in 2018, Ms. Tran commitment has been integral to improving the futures of generations to come. We are sincerely thankful for her unwavering support.

Grand-Opening of Newly Built Huu Khuong Elementary School on 03/09/2025

The Lotus School Foundation’s core mission is to support disadvantaged children in remote mountainous regions, which often leads us on remarkable journeys. Reaching this particular school required an 11-hour drive from Hanoi, followed by an hour-long ferry ride, and another 30 minutes navigating the winding mountain roads on motorcycles. This journey provided us with a profound insight into the daily challenges faced by the villagers in this rural area. Witnessing the completion of the new five-classroom school, which will benefit 118 students, filled us with immense joy!
We extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Hang Tran Hannah Tran for sponsoring this school in loving memory of her mother, Bác Do Thi Hau.  Thank you so much for making a meaningful difference in the lives of these disadvantaged children.
