The Future of Every Child Begins With Education!

The Lotus School Foundation is very pleased to continue our work in serving the underprivileged children with the building of our 13th school in Nghe An – Vietnam.  As this province is devastated by typhoons, mudslides, and flooding each year, many of the schools in the rural mountainous areas are damaged and/or severely deteriorating. Huoi Pho Preschool & Elementary School is located deep in the mountain 350km away from the center. Our Project Supervisor, Mr. Kenny Dam has visited and inspected the school on March 07, 2019.

The new school building will accommodate 80 students and is estimated to cost $11,048. The cost covers 5 classrooms, 2 restrooms, a concrete surface playground, and a commercial stainless steel water tank for the school to store clean water. All of the classrooms will be furnished with new furniture at an additional estimated cost of $1,444. Our local partner, QXTVC will be sponsoring the cost of the classroom furniture. The new school is projected to complete by August of 2020.

FANTASTIC NEWS!!! THE NEW SCHOOL IS COMPLETED!

After a couple of months of heavy rain in the area, LSF is very pleased that the new school is finally completed. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic that is still affecting the world, our team is postponing the formal GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION until the end of this year or sometimes in 2021. The safety of our team, teachers, students, and the local villagers is the most important and we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of everyone. The new school is now open and in use to benefit 85 children.
