Project 20 | Hoa Dao Preschool (2021)
The village is located 425km away from the city center and 85% of the Chieng Khay’s households live below the poverty level. The students face many learning challenges since the school conditions are severely deteriorated exposing them to the elements.

Project 19 | Con Huat Preschool (2021)
The students at Phieng Khoai village were left without a school in the last 2 years, as the conditions of the old Con Huat school have deteriorated so severely that it was no longer safe to use. Parents, teachers, and students are desperately in need of a new school.
Project 18 | Ban Bon Preschool (2021)
The ethnic minorities in the region are terribly disadvantaged due to the lack of access to education, infrastructure, transportation, and healthcare. Many children in small villages have to walk a long distance of 3-5 miles each day to a different village to go to school.

The recent back-to-back floods in Central Vietnam have devastated the region and many families have lost everything. Many children in flood-stricken areas struggle to return to school. Many parents cannot afford the cost of school supplies for their children.

The poverty rate among ethnic minorities in Son La is 73% and the extreme poverty rate is at high as 44.5%. Ethnic minorities in the region is terribly disadvantage.

Project 32 | Na Vien Elementary School (2022)
Celebrating the grand-opening of two more new classrooms at Na Vien School is our greatest joy, as this is the 1st school that LSF had built 5 years ago in 2018.

Project 31 | Ta Nhinh Bridge (2022)
The new steel bridge serves as the link to 7 others villages and will benefit over 40,000 people. The bridge will help with transportation as well as increasing access to trade between the villages, and improve many lives.

Project 30 | Ta Pu Chu Elementary School (2022)
The school is located deep in the mountain (85km/4 hours drive from the city), and the path to the school is traveled through unpaved, dirt roads. This school was built in 2001 and the infrastructure is severely deteriorated.

Project 29 | Suoi Cheo School (2022)
Suoi Cheo School was built in 1999 and has severely deteriorated over the years. During the rainy season, the old school collapsed and the children have been learning in the village’s culture house since last year.

Pang Sang School is located 11km away from town in one of the poorest communities in Son La with more than 80% of the villagers living in deep poverty.
